Glenfiddich, a renowned Scotch whisky distillery, has a remarkable history dating back to 1886 when William Grant of Dufftown decided to establish his own distillery. With determination and a family endeavor, he built Glenfiddich near the Fiddich River. This family-owned distillery, now in its fifth generation of ownership, defied the odds of its time, eventually expanding to include other distilleries like Balvenie, Kininvie, and Ailsa Bay, as well as grain plant Girvan.

Glenfiddich holds the distinction of being the world's best-selling single malt, with an annual sales volume exceeding one million cases. The distillery is known for its unique production methods, including the use of small, direct-fired stills, which contribute to its light and estery new make spirit.

Glenfiddich's commitment to quality extends to its use of solera aging techniques for certain expressions, where mature stocks from specific casks are mingled together in solera vats. This method, pioneered for the 15-year-old expression, adds depth and harmony to the whisky. The distillery also employs marrying tuns to ensure the components meld seamlessly.

While Glenfiddich has embraced innovation and marketing strategies over the years, it remains a family-owned, quality-focused distillery with a rich history and a commitment to crafting exceptional Scotch whisky.
